Amazonite is a rare microcline feldspar that appears in shades of blue to green. It's an opaque stone with a silky luster that's perfect for jewelry. Since the late 1800's, high-quality Amazonite has been mined from Pike's Peak and Crystal Park in Colorado. The stone has since earned the nicknames "Colorado jade" or "Pike's Peak jade" for its location and similar appearance to jade. Outside of Colorado, Amazonite can be found in Madagascar, Russia, Namibia and Brazil.
Amazonite is known as the stone of courage and truth. It's believed to empower one's search for self-discovery, identity and truth.
