About Red Creek Jasper and Unakite
Red Creek Jasper has a rich color scheme of brick reds, mustard yellows, sage greens, rusty browns, blue-greys and tans that reminds you of a deep sunset over the mountains. The stone is easily recognizable by its irregular color banding and veins of quartz.
Unakite is a true rock: a composite material made up of multiple other stones. This gives unakite its green-moss-on-brick appearance. It's named for the Unaka Mountains in the southeastern United States where it was first discovered.
Known for its deep connection to the earth, Red Creek Jasper is useful for its strengthening and stabilizing properties. It's believed to stimulate the chi by reaffirming one's connection with mind, body and spirit.
Metaphysically, Unakite is said to be a stone of vision, opening the third eye and useful for scrying. It is also believed to be a stone of balance, grounding the self while bringing emotions and spirituality together. Unakite is associated with two chakras: to the third eye chakra for its use in vision & scrying, and to the heart chakra for its ability to balance emotions.
